Andre Petterson

Andre Petterson

Andre Petterson was born in 1950 in Rotterdam, Holland, but moved to Canada as a child. He grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, living there until 1970 when he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.

Petterson works in a wide variety of media, from sculpture and film, to installations and music. Most recently, he has focused on painting, photography, and steel sculpture, and Petterson's work often incorporates movement and music. Through group and solo exhibitions, he has shown his work in private and public galleries across Canada and in the United States. His work is represented in numerous collections, including the Canada Council Art Bank, Department of External Affairs (Ottawa), Vancouver General Hospital, Grand Forks Public Art Gallery, and the Richmond Public Art Gallery.

Andre Petterson lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
