The Darrell Bell Gallery, which opened in 1998, specialized in contemporary art with an emphasis on Saskatchewan artists, and was an important fixture in the Saskatoon art scene for over two decades. Owner Darrell Bell told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix in 2000, in starting the gallery, “I wanted to create a wonderful environment of beautiful things.” Darrell Bell, himself a renowned Saskatchewan-born visual artist, died in April this year.
The auction includes many original works by Saskatchewan greats like Joe Fafard, Dorothy Knowles, Allen Sapp, Dorothy Martin, Sanford Fisher, Jack Sures, Doug Bentham, David Alexander, Hans Herold and more!
