Keith Thomson
Keith Thomson was born in 1934 in southern Saskatchewan and grew up in a farming community near Craven, Saskatchewan, in the Qu'Appelle Valley. After high school he attended the Commercial Art course at the Alberta College of Art and Design. He worked as a commercial artist for seven years and then was invited to instruct at the Alberta College of Art, where he taught for the next 25 years in the Commercial Art program as well as teaching life drawing, silk screen printing and watercolour painting.
As an artist, Thomson has focused on watercolour, often depicting farm life, urban scenes and landscapes.
