Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting will host a Black History
Month Art Auction, featuring artworks by Black artists
and celebrating Black subjects, and running from January 28 to February 20 2021.
Consignments are invited for the auction’s two sections:
Consigned
— artworks being sold on behalf of consignors (art collectors, dealers
and artists) with remittance of at least 80% of the hammer price going
to the consignor. All of these artworks must be by Black artists or
depict the Black experience.
For Charity — artworks being sold
with a portion going to our charity partner, the Saskatchewan African
Canadian Heritage Museum (SACHM). For these artworks, 70% of the hammer
price will be paid to SACHM and 30% to the consignor/artist. If the
artwork donor prefers, 100% of the hammer price will be paid to SACHM.
These artworks do not need to be by Black artists or feature Black
subjects.
The auction will take place January 28th to February 20th, 2021, on the dedicated NAC auction site: https://connect.invaluable.com/saskatchewannac
