Robert Scott
Robert Austin Scott was born in 1941 in Merfort, Saskatchewan and spent part of his childhood in LaFleche, in Southwestern Saskatchewan. He eventually studied art at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, Alberta (Diploma in Applied Art, 1969) and the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Master of Fine Arts, 1976. Scott continues to live in Edmonton, but travels regularly to his renovated schoolhouse studio in Cadillac, Saskatchewan.
Scott has exhibited widely throughout Canada and internationally, and his work can be found in the permanent collections of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Glenbow Art Gallery (Calgary), Nova Scotia Art Gallery (Halifax), Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, and Shurniak Art Gallery (Assiniboia, Saskatchewan).
