The Assiniboia Gallery was founded in 1977. Initially located on 11th Avenue in Regina’s downtown, the gallery is now situated on Smith Street, just south of downtown. The gallery represents nearly 50 artists, over half of them from Saskatchewan. Assiniboia Gallery shows contemporary and traditional art in a variety of mediums, including jewellery, painting and drawing, and ceramics.
The gallery is owned by Mary and Jeremy Weimer. Mary has been manager of the gallery since 1998.
